Business Developer
Carry new business for a software company working in Egypt and Germany: find the clients, run the conversations, write the proposals, and close.
Two markets, one pipeline. In Egypt and the Gulf the buyers are restaurants, retail chains and service companies who need software that fits how they actually trade. In Germany they are businesses who need fiscalization and compliance handled properly, reached through our partner office in Heidelberg. Different buyers, different pace, the same job: find them, work out what they are really trying to fix, and put a proposal in front of them that says yes to the right thing and no to the rest.
You would be the first business development hire, so the pipeline is yours to build rather than inherit. On site in Ismailia from October 2026, working directly with the founders, who are doing this job between everything else at the moment, and will hand it over with relief.
Ce que vous feriez
- Build and work an outbound pipeline in both markets: research, first contact, follow-up, and the discipline to keep it moving.
- Run discovery calls: the business, the system they have now, the budget, and who actually decides.
- Write proposals and quotes with a founder, and negotiate them to a signature.
- Qualify inbound leads from the website and referrals, and say no early to the ones that are not a fit.
- Keep the pipeline honest in ClickUp: every deal with a stage, a next step and a date.
- Support the German pipeline: correspondence in English, coordination with the Heidelberg partner office, and the paperwork a German contract needs.
- Hand signed work to delivery with the context intact, then stay close enough to keep the client informed.
- Tell marketing what the leads are actually like, so the next batch is better.
- Represent Daleenda at events and on LinkedIn, in person and in writing.
Qui nous cherchons
- Three or more years selling software, digital services or another technical product, with numbers you can talk about.
- Fluent written and spoken English, and native Arabic.
- You can hold a discovery call with a business owner and come out knowing what they need, not only what they asked for.
- Comfortable writing: a proposal, a follow-up, a message that gets answered.
- Organised in a CRM without being told to be.
- Willing to hear no often, and to ask why.
Un plus
- German, at A2 or above. Correspondence with the German market is supported, not carried alone.
- POS, ERP, hospitality or retail software somewhere in your past.
- Selling into Europe from outside it.
- Partnerships or channel work: agencies, resellers, integrators.
- Enough technical literacy to read an integration spec and know what you are promising.
Ce que nous offrons
- Base salary plus commission on the business you close.
- The first business development seat, and a pipeline you build rather than inherit.
- Real references to sell with: shipped products in fiscalization, hospitality, retail and health.
- Founders in the room for the deals that need them, and out of the way for the ones that do not.
- A partner office in Germany, so Europe is a door rather than a cold start.
L'équipe
You would work directly with the founders, beside a marketing specialist hired at the same time; the two of you are the whole commercial side, so the handover between a campaign and a conversation is a chair away rather than a process. Delivery is a senior engineering team and a designer who will tell you plainly whether what you sold can be built.
Comment se déroule le recrutement pour ce poste
Four steps, usually inside three weeks. An informal call, then a conversation about a deal you actually closed and one you lost; the form asks about both, and those answers are where we start. No role-play pitch of our product; we would rather hear about yours. A decision within a week of the last conversation.
