UX/UI Product Designer

Be the first product designer, own the design system, and turn ordering, cashiering and inventory into screens people can operate under pressure.

Our users are not browsing. A cashier at a Berlin counter and a technician quoting a repair in Riyadh are both being watched by a customer while they use what we built, and an interface that needs a second look at that moment has failed. This job is turning those workflows (ordering, cashiering, inventory, service quoting, configuration) into screens that hold up, and giving engineers specs they can build without guessing.

You would be the first designer here, and the owner of the design system: tokens, variables, components and variants in Figma, kept in step with the front-end component library. The work ships in weeks, to real users, in two markets that pull in different directions: German business users who want density and a keyboard, and MENA users who want Arabic, right-to-left, on a phone. On site in Ismailia from October 2026; hybrid is negotiable for the right person.

Cosa faresti

  • Own product design end to end across our SaaS products and client platforms: research, flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, handoff.
  • Build and maintain the design system in Figma, aligned with the front-end component library.
  • Run lightweight user research and usability sessions with real users (restaurant staff, technicians, business owners) and change the design because of what you saw.
  • Audit existing screens and propose UX improvements in priority order.
  • Design for both markets: dense, keyboard-driven and compliance-aware for Germany; Arabic, right-to-left and mobile-first for MENA.
  • Produce handoff specs, redlines and interaction notes; review what was built against the design and log the deviations.
  • Work with the graphic designer so product UI and marketing visuals share one brand foundation.
  • Write design decisions down, so the team can reason about them later.

Chi cerchiamo

  • Three or more years designing SaaS, dashboard, POS, ERP or other data-dense B2B products.
  • A portfolio of shipped work with the reasoning visible, not only the final screens.
  • Expert-level Figma: auto layout, variables, component properties, prototyping, dev mode.
  • You have built or maintained a design system that engineers actually used.
  • You can run a usability session, say what you saw, and change the design accordingly.
  • Clear written and spoken English, and the nerve to argue a design decision with engineers and founders.

Gradito

  • Hospitality, retail or point-of-sale software.
  • Arabic right-to-left design.
  • German UI conventions and accessibility expectations (BITV, WCAG).
  • Enough Angular, or any component-based front end, to read what was built.
  • Motion and micro-interaction design.

Cosa offriamo

  • The first designer's seat, with the design system yours to shape rather than inherit.
  • Designs in front of real users within weeks, and the research access to watch them.
  • A senior engineering team that will build what you specify, and tell you when it will not work.
  • Figma with AI-assisted workflows, Storybook, ClickUp, Loom.

La squadra

You would report to the CTO and co-founder, and be the designer on a team of engineers, which means your work is argued with rather than approved. There is a graphic designer beside you for the brand side, and the front-end component library your system has to stay in step with is already in production.

Come funziona la selezione per questa posizione

Four steps, usually inside three weeks. An informal call with someone you would actually work with, then a walk through work you already own, never an unpaid take-home the size of a project. The form asks about a decision engineers pushed back on; bring that one. A decision within a week of the last conversation.
