Privacy policy

How Daleenda handles personal data, on this website and in the work we do for clients. It applies to everyone who contacts us or uses a system we run.

Data controller

Daleenda For IT Developments, 7 El Geish Road, Ismailia 41511, Egypt. Write to info@daleenda.com with anything about this policy or your data. Daleenda has no establishment in the European Union — the German phone number is a contact point, not an office with staff.

Data we collect

From browsing this website, very little: there is no account to create, and your cookie choice and your language and theme preferences stay in your browser. We do count page views, which is described under “Counting visits” below and stores nothing on your device. Beyond that, what we hold is what you send us: an email, a message, a phone call, or an application through the careers pages, which has a section of its own. The site is served by Firebase Hosting, a Google service, whose server logs record the IP address of each request; Google retains those logs for a few months for security and abuse prevention. The contact page offers a Google map that loads only after you choose to load it; when you do, Google receives your IP address and learns you viewed that page — the cookie policy describes it in full.

Counting visits

We measure how this site is read with our own software rather than a third party’s, and it is built so that it cannot identify you. It sets no cookie and writes nothing to your browser. It records the page you opened, its title and language, the site that linked you here, any campaign tag in the address, the width of your window, your device type and your country. Your IP address is used for two things and then discarded: working out the country, which happens on our own server, and producing a one-way fingerprint by combining it with a secret that is destroyed every night. That fingerprint is what distinguishes one visit from two on the same day; because the secret is gone by morning, nobody — ourselves included — can tie it to the day before or back to an address. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are worth writing. You may object at any time by writing to info@daleenda.com, and a browser sending Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is treated as an objection already made. Records are kept for ninety days and then reduced to daily totals holding nothing specific to a visitor. Separately, and only if you switch analytics on, Google Analytics performs its own measurement; that one uses cookies and is described in the cookie policy.

Applying for a job

Applying for a role means sending us your name, email address, phone number and CV, and whatever else you choose to add: a message, a portfolio link, when you could start, and any further documents you attach. It is stored in our own database and a private file store: the key this website runs on can write an application and cannot read one back, so nothing you send is readable from the public site. Access is limited to the people at Daleenda who review applications. We do not use it to advertise to you, we do not share it with anyone outside Daleenda, and no automated decision is made about you. A person reads every application. You may ask us to delete it at any time, including in the middle of a process, by writing to info@daleenda.com. We aim to delete an application within twelve months of the role it was sent to closing — for a speculative one, within twelve months of its arrival — unless we ask and you agree to keep it on file longer.

Why we process it

To answer you, to consider your application if you send one, to prepare and deliver work you have asked for, to keep the systems we run secure, and to meet the record-keeping the tax and commercial law of the countries we work in requires.

Legal basis

Answering an enquiry and performing an engagement rest on the contract, or steps taken before entering one, which is also the basis for considering your application to a role you applied for. Keeping a speculative application on file, and keeping your details after a role has closed, rest on your consent, which is why the form asks for it plainly and why you can withdraw it. Optional cookies, Google Analytics among them, rest on consent too. Counting visits rests on legitimate interests, described under “Counting visits”. Security and record-keeping rest on legitimate interests and on legal obligation respectively.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data and we run no advertising on this site. It is shared only with the providers that host this site, store applications, and run the systems we build for you, and only to the extent the work requires. Your CV is not sent to a recruitment network or to any client. Three providers do that work today: Google, whose Firebase Hosting serves this site; Supabase, which stores content pages and job applications on servers in Frankfurt, Germany; and — only once you switch analytics on — Google Analytics, which receives the pages you open here and handles them under Google’s own terms. Our own counting is shared with nobody. All three process personal data under their published data-processing terms.

International transfers

We work across Egypt, Germany and the Gulf, so data may be processed outside the country it was collected in. What you send us is stored with Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany — inside the European Economic Area. The site itself is served by Google’s Firebase Hosting from a global network, under Google’s data-processing terms, which include the EU standard contractual clauses for what leaves the EEA. If you switch analytics on, Google Analytics sends what it collects to Google, which processes it in the United States among other places, under those same terms and clauses. People at Daleenda work from Egypt, so reading and answering what you send is itself access from outside the EEA. Egypt holds no EU adequacy decision; this policy, and the rights in it, follow your data there — what we promise does not change with the geography.

How long we keep it

For as long as the engagement runs, and afterwards only where a legal retention period applies to the record — tax and commercial law set those, and they differ by country. For applications the aim is twelve months, described under “Applying for a job” — and asking for deletion sooner always wins. Visit counts are kept for ninety days and then reduced to daily totals.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, ask us to restrict or stop a particular use, ask for a copy in a portable form, and object to processing that rests on legitimate interests. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting what was lawful beforehand. Write to info@daleenda.com; we answer within one month.

Complaints

If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to a data protection supervisory authority. In the European Union, that is the authority for the country you live or work in. In Egypt, it is the centre established by the Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020).

Changes to this policy

This page states the date it was last updated. Where a change affects how your data is used rather than how the policy is worded, we say so plainly rather than relying on you to re-read it.
